Installing CDS on a Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003 Client
There are multiple steps for installing a Client/Server application. First, install Adaptive Server Anywhere and the CDS application on the file server, as documented in the Installation Guide for Servers. After the file server installation is complete, start the Adaptive Server Anywhere application and then install CDS on the workstation.
For peer-to-peer networks, where there is a non-dedicated server (i.e., the server computer is also used as a workstation), the server will have a directory for the Network installation of CDS and a different directory for the Client installation of CDS.
