Neighbourhood Budget Application – Croxdale Play Area Michael Wilkes presented a report (for copy see file of Minutes) regarding a Neighbourhood Budget Application submitted by Councillors M. Williams and J. Blakey in respect of Croxdale Play Area.

The application identified a contribution of £5,000 from each councillor’s Neighbourhood Budget towards the cost of installing new play equipment to an existing children’s play area on Croxdale Front Street.

Details of the overall cost of the project and the matched funding identified were outlined in the report.

Middlestone Moor – Multi -Use Games Area, North Drive The Board was informed that a Multi Agency Task Group had been established to consider future options for the play facility and Multi-Use Games Area at Middlestone Moor in view of the problems of vandalism / anti-social behaviour.

A12. Spennymoor Parish Plan It was reported that Spennymoor Town Council would be issuing questionnaires to residents/business by end of October 2009 to assist in the preparation of the Parish Plan.

A13.

Intensive Local Engagement Funding It was noted that the Area Action Partnership had been granted £50,000 to fund intensive local engagement. Michael Wilkes stated that he would be meeting with Clare Marshall (Durham County Council) to discuss how to take the funding forward and that he would report back to the Board at the next meeting.

A14. Additional YCAP Funding The Board was informed that Diane Major had been successful in securing additional YCAP funding for Spennymoor area. Michael Wilkes agreed that he would update the Board at the next meeting.
